The aim of the project is:


A support for spatial strategy of region and sub-regions as well as a creation of tools for development and implementation of regional policy by system linking the anticipation of socio-economic development with the new land use and the shaping of spatial order in the perspective of 2050.

Implementation of the project and its results will contribute to:

  • harmonious development of the spatial structure of the Silesia Voivodeship,
  • the sustainable socio - economic development of the Silesia Voivodeship.


The open conference was held in May 28, 2010. The conference was attended by representatives of politics, science, government, bizness sector and NGOs.

The supreme substancial body of the Project, with strategic importance for the final results of the Project.

The main task of panel include: monitoring the achievements quality of the expert works, the development of final reports from the various stages of foresight and publication preparation.

The substantial body of the Project, with strategic importance for the project due to the integration of the achievement of the System and Scenario Panel.

Its tasks will include: searching for hidden links between different aspects of the develoment of the region and the land use. 

The basic substantial cell of the of the project, responsible for drawing up alternative scenarios for land use.

These scenarios will be based on the visions of the future and anticipation of the factors likely to affect the reality of these visions.

The role of the System Panel will include preparation of visualization illustrating the problems, visions and scenarios, which are the subject of the foresight project.
